In keeping with the first Saturday of the month remote ride series, this particular Saturday, one club ride option will be to join up with the Amgen Cycling Club's Ride out of Stonehaus Restaurant in Westlake Village. The ride leaves at 8am, so don't be late. Getting up early will mean participating in one scenic and challenging fun ride with some different faces.
The ride will leave Stonehaus and head out past Lake Sherwood and through Hidden Valley. The ride will continue on Potrero down towards the coast where it will head south on PCH to Leo Carillo State Park for a water stop. From the stop, the ride will continue south on PCH, before heading up the 8 mile Latigo Canyon Climb and then west on Mulholland and the descent down Decker back into Westlake. Once back at Stonehaus, take advantage of their patio and grab some lunch before driving back home.
This ride has a little bit of everything. Flats, rollers, and one QUALITY climb, not to mention spectacular coastal views. One of the Ride Dictator's favorite non- Santa Clarita rides.
